1923 - The Introduction of 20-ton Coal Wagons is covered in further detail at Volume 9, Chapter 5.

1928 - 'Mr. E. C. Edwards, Dock Manager, Penarth to be Dock Manager, Plymouth.  The supervision of Penarth Dock has been transferred to the Dock Manager at Cardiff, Mr. W. N. Thompson, to whom communications relating to matters previously dealt with by the Dock Manager at Penarth should be addressed.' - Railway Magazine [053] March 1928.

1929 - 'Mr. L. E. Ford, Assistant in Charge, Penarth Docks, to be Assistant Dock Manager, Port Talbot.' - Railway Magazine [053] August 1929.

1936 - The closure of the dock by the G.W.R. is covered in detail at Volume 4, Chapter 5.

The Coal Tips, Penarth Dock, or not! - A postcard which I can confirm is not of Penarth Dock or Basin since the type of coal tips shown were never installed on its quaysides - oops!
