Survey of damage caused by landmine at Penarth Dock
I do enjoy enlarging photos because they often reveal so much detail lost when you look at the whole. In this enlargement, the man in battle dress is probably a civilian ARP or NFS. His role is obviously to attend site in order to assess and survey the damage caused by the German landmine to the Penarth Dock north quay wall. [367]

The vehicle is military (not American) and could be from the local bomb disposal squad or ARP according to family friend Nick, who is knowledgeable about WWII matters. Thanks Nick for your assistance! The image has been colourised. [367]
