1943-4 - Another peek through the ironwork of a dockside crane at the LST's. Nearest the quaywall we see US-35, US-33, US-12, US-15, and US-229.

1943-1944 - Another peek through the ironwork of a dockside crane at the LST's. Nearest the quaywall we see US-35, US-33, US-12, US-15, and US-229. According to the Naval History and Heritage Command [640] website both LST US-35 and US-33 were transferred to the Greek Navy on the 18th August 1943 and served them throughout the remainder of the war. So either this photograph predates their transfer or perhaps the date is incorrect.

The original photograph is held at the archive of the National Museum of Wales. [Museum item number : 1999.169/27] [629] [20180403]
