"Garlinde" at Penarth Dock

The 'Garlinde' heading down the dock for the open sea in the 1950's or very early 1960's. She is high in the water suggesting that she has been under repair on the pontoon. [069]

Built at West Hartlepool by William Gray for Constants Ltd., of Cardiff in 1951 she was of 2,980 gross register tons. In 1967 she was sold to owners based in Monrovia and was lost off Annaba in 1972 following an explosion in her engine room. Many thanks to 7seavessels for their research. [399]
