The pontoon is probably resting some 250 metres further down the dock in an south-easterly direction. The green line represents the dam location based upon the 1970-1974 OS map. I do wish I had taken some photos of the final resting place of the pontoon for posterity. I recall taking a series of photos from the engineering works in 1974'ish which would have made a 360 degree panoramic view. Only recently, we found a number of undeveloped reels but alas, two reels of film which could not be developed. Double drat! [001] [010]
