Penarth Dock, South Wales - 150 years - the heritage and legacy
Penarth Dock, South Wales - the heritage & legacy . . .

Volume Five - The Age of Decline & Crass Stupidity - Where is the final resting place of the pontoon ? . . .

Possible location of Penarth pontoon - buries under rubbish!

2013 – Just a clue - the pointed bit of the pontoon is around here somewhere! The infamous leachate plant complete with flaring off chimney and plant room to deal with the copious quantities of methane gas and liquid given off by the waste used as infill for the dock.

The pontoon lies approximately to scale just to the right of it about 25-30 feet (7.6–9.1m) below the surface probably quietly rotting away in leachate! Just compare the size of the cars and houses close-by to the scale of the pontoon. [001] [110]
