April 1987 - Construction of the Penarth Marina - A view across the Basin towards the south quay where the masonry works for the two coal tips of 1865 are situated. Note the incline to the right of the supporting wall which indicates the railway lines approaching the tips and for the return of empties by gravity. I note that the mooring posts have been removed to be replaced later in the construction works. Does anybody know where these were cast? [1292]
