Entrance to the River Ely subway, Penarth
The remains of the subway entrance building on the northern or Ferry Road side of the river at the time of the survey in 1991. Only about one third of the structure remains and the roof is missing, although the cast iron ring surrounding the entrance to the subway proper remains in place. That would make a proper hearth for a cold winter's night! [009] [060]
