An advertisement for the sale by auction of the 'La Belle Marie' Western Mail [164] 29th June 1891.

The 'La Belle Marie' was always the relief vessel and when withdrawn from service was laid up in the Glamorganshire Canal. Auctioned for sale in July 1891 she failed to meet the reserve price and was withdrawn. In October that same year she was sold to local marine engineers and pilots being sold yet again as a Belfast trader in October 1982.
