1947 - When I adjust the contrast, it is possible to read the sign which the gentleman seated centre-stage holds : It says 'Penarth Hbr. Gang - 18th? November 1947.' The National Museum of Wales record states that it is a Group shot of the "Penarth Harbour Gang, November 1947". A mix of men's faces showing their lifelong experience, lines of hardship and hard-graft interspersed with their sheer joy for life following the recent dark years of war! Does anyone have a name to append to this touching heritage record please?
