A plot prepared at Rota Design Limited of the finite element model of the cylindrical subway when under the loading from the surrounding clay and gravels plus the water up to the Spring tide high water average level. The direction of the maximum deformation is vertically downwards through the cylindrical subway and the roof deforms the greatest amount at 0.7 mm. The histogram indicates the distribution of the deformation within the structure. [108]
