Captain Walter Murray Pengelley - (1824 - 1897)
In May 2017 Julie visited her twin sister, Judith, who resided in Bromfield Place, Penarth, being only about 100 yards from St. Augustine's Church. Neither had viewed the interior of the 1865 church before and they were amazed at its beauty and serenity. I had asked Julie to photograph the memorial tablet to Commander Pengelley. I was not aware of the lovely stained glass windows dedicated to his memory but the kind staff of the church assisted showing Julie and explaining their history. The images below are, therefore, self explanatory. Thanks to wife, Julie and my late sister-in-law, Judith.
