Lightvessel No.72 awaiting breaking up at Neath Abbey

The sad sight of lightvessel No. 72 in a somewhat mucky condition awaiting the flare of the breaker's oxy-acetylene cutting torches. She arrived at Neath Abbey during May 1973 but this photograph dates from almost thirty years later as it was taken during July 2002. Her light shines no more over the English & Welsh Grounds and she still lies there in the mud, (as at November 2015). Thanks to Bernard McCall for his fine book, Coasters of South Wales from which the image is borrowed and also to Lyndon Pritchard for correcting my error regarding the date of the photo and for informing me that she is still there.
