Alexandra Park, Penarth
Alexandra Park, Penarth
The Alexandra Park, Penarth from the colourful 'Kromo Series' posted in Weston-super-Mare in July 1910 to a Miss Partridge of Chard, Somerset. I adore the blushing lady in the white and pink hat looking straight at the camera and the young lady besides her. The canon and grass roller add character to a sunny afternoon sketch of the park. Another fine postcard from the growing Penarth Dock Collection. [001]

Alexandra Park, Penarth

Another view of the Alexander Park, Penarth in this postcard posted in Cardiff in January 1927. One of Valentine's Valcolour Series of postcards it is addressed to a Master K. Todd of Taunton and simply says 'A small part of Penarth'. In the distance is the war memorial with the bandstand on the upper terrace. Three young girls are sitting on the park bench wrapped up in their cosy winter coats and hats. [001]
