'Alexandra Park, Penarth' complete with its fine Victorian bandstand and the shelter at higher level opened in 1900 at an estimated cost of £5,834. The postcard is a Valentine's Series from the Penarth Dock Collection and is unposted but simply inscribed 'from John'. Many thanks to John, whoever you are! The lower image has been colourised. The Splendid Band of the 2nd Glamorgan Artillery Volunteers (By kind permission of Colonel H. O. Fisher), Conductor, Mr. Paul Draper, will render a Choice of Programme of Music.

Gates open at Six o'clock, Concert at Seven o'clock. - Admission, 6d ; children, 3d.
