The 'Barry' was launched in 1907 and was the only vessel with one red funnel belonging to the Barry Railway Company. 'Gwalia' and 'Devonia' had twin funnels. As this postcard was posted in August 1905 it could not have been the 'Barry'. I think it may have been incorrectly coloured by the artist and is actually one of the Campbell's White Funnel Fleet or could it have been the result of the growing animosity between Campbell's and the Barry Railway Company over competition? [001] Oh, by the way I have to inform Mrs Edmondson of Garden Street, Swansea, that Jack
'won't be home until tomorrow'!
