Tony Batey - 's.s. Great Britain leaving Penarth 6th February 1886.'

Tony Batey - 's.s. Great Britain leaving Penarth 6th February 1886.' I've been a fan of Tony's work since I bought a framed print of 'Cardiff Bay' about twenty-five years ago. My copy of the 'Penarth Regatta' bought at Snell's at the same time has unfortunately faded but Julie bought me a signed copy of the above print from our good friend and contributor to the Penarth Dock story, Villis at Penarth Framing. [113]  Tony has captured the essence of a ship launched in 1843 which set the standard for the engineering design of steamships for almost a century ahead - well steered Mr. Brunel.  [402]
