Margaret Thomas - 'The Cardiff Queen' - Margaret was born in 1916 and died in 2016. She has captured the paddle steamer 'Cardiff Queen' of the White Funnel Fleet having loaded passengers at Cardiff pierhead landing stage and is en route around Penarth Head to Penarth Pier. A wonderfully evocative painting belonging to my childhood days when pleasure steamers regularly called at ports, piers and landing stages on both sides of the Seven Sea and the Bristol Channel. [439]
