Bob Grimson - 'Kindly Light' - A Barry pilot cutter

Bob Grimson - 'Kindly Light' - A Barry pilot cutter. Built in 1911 at Fleetwood for pilot use at 'By' being the identification letters for Barry Dock. Lewis Alexander was her original owner and she is said to be an authentic example of the class of Bristol Channel pilot cutters of the age. She was sold and renamed 'Theodora' after WWI. Bob has captured her in full sail on a typically breezy day in his oil on canvas painting - I can taste the salt - simply gorgeous! [504]
