Bill Harris - The Sea Lock Pound, Cardiff - 1936.
Another fine painting borrowed from the book 'The Glamorganshire and Aberdare Canals.' [528] The text states : 'This water colour of the Sea Lock Pound, executed by Bill Harris in 1936, shows the Trinity House pilot (probably Sylvia) at her mooring opposite the Old Sea Lock Hotel and the New Sea Lock public house. The licence of the Old Sea Lock was transferred in 1892 to the Avondale Hotel, which was built in Clarence Road close to the GWR railway station.' Courtesy Heath Family.
