'Pamir' - 'Looking out of a porthole''

From William Stark's account of his epic voyage around 'Cape Horn' aboard 'Pamir' in 1949 he comments:- 'With no working radio or any communication gear on board the 'Pamir', passing ships were rare and an exciting image to behold.' This view through a porthole is of the 'Passat'. [335]
