Penarth Dock, South Wales - the heritage & legacy . . .
Volume Eight - Pre-Victorian to the present day - more aspects - Passat & Pamir at Penarth Dock - A Photo Album - 1948 - 1951
'Passat' - at sea. A lovely view of the ship in sail but almost becalmed in a light breeze. Its 'main' and 'royals' are not set. The fore-main sail is in the process of being furled or maybe unfurled! [001]
An enlargement of the bowsprit complete with the ship's show-off! Either he's a 'lubber' or perhaps he is the first to notify the bridge of land-ho! The view confirms the identity as 'Passat'. Simply gorgeous! [001]
