'Ravenswood' passes below the Clifton Suspension Bridge

A lovely postcard view, plus colourised version, of Brunel's Clifton Suspension Bridge over the Avon Gorge, Bristol. Below is, almost certainly, the paddle steamer 'Ravenswood' on her way downstream to navigate the renowned Horseshoe Bend and onto Avonmouth. The link to Penarth Dock is that the engineer of our dock and its extension was involved in the completion of the Clifton Suspension Bridge see ; John Hawkshaw.  Another postcard from the Penarth Dock Collection posted during May 1903.
