The Morgan Arcade, Cardiff - 1890's

The Morgan Arcade, Cardiff. - An late 1890's or early 1900's photograph of the Morgan Arcade opened in 1896 which links St. Mary Street and the Hayes taken from '107 Views of Cardiff and District' published by Rock Bros., Limited, London, E.C. In the distance the arcade divides into two and just to the right was a small shop which sold home-made cordials - I strongly recommend the Dandelion and Burdock; so refreshing, with a freshness and taste that comes only from natural ingredients and a fine Victorian secret recipe. High Street Arcade, Cardiff.

High Street Arcade, Cardiff. - A fine photograph of the 1885 arcade linking St. John Street with the High Street. Designed by Peter Price in a gothic style common in Victorian times. 'Foley' China, 'The Ladys' Room', 'Blouses' and a sight test at W. P. Caryl are all on offer. The image has been colourised. [001] [328]

Royal Arcade, Cardiff.
Royal Arcade, Cardiff. - The oldest of the Cardiff arcades built in 1858 which also links St. Mary Street with The Hayes. [001] [328]
