Penarth Head from the Pier, Penarth - A postcard from the Noah's Ark Series, Penarth and post stamped August 1910. It is written in pencil which is somewhat faded but I can make out that it is addressed to Master Davies in Merthyr Tydfil. It starts : 'Grandma, Harry and I spent a very enjoyable day in Penarth yesterday and you up in Dowlais.' Seems that Master Davies had drawn the short straw again and no ice cream either! Esplanade Hotel from Pier, Penarth - Another view where perhaps a spaceship has landed and taken all the inhabitants to another planet! The baths and Esplanade Hotel looking resplendent without traffic and pedestrians alike. The bandstand is silent and the sea is clear and azure blue.
