'No.5. Alexandra Park, Penarth'

published by G. Wehrley & Co., 97 Glebe Street, Penarth, S. Wales

'No.5. Alexandra Park, Penarth' - Another of those fine photographs published c.1910 by G. Wehrley & Co., 97 Glebe Street, Penarth, S. Wales as the reverse acknowledges. This image shows the path through the park to the beach and esplanade. I recall that it was always a little cooler since it was shaded and no doubt brought welcome relief to countless old and young alike who sat and rested awhile on the stone seats. I was usually finishing my Thayer's ice cream which was melting over the cone and onto my fingers by this time - lick, lick! Another historic postcard from the Penarth Dock Collection.
