upper image : 'No.6. Penarth Dock' - A postcard published by G. Wehrley & Co., 97 Glebe Street, Penarth, S. Wales as witness the scan of a portion of the rear of the card. The postcard was posted from Pontypridd during October 1910 to an address in Taff's Well. ('Taff's Well' : 'I didn't know he'd been ill' was the standard overdone joke as we passed through the station!) The original of this postcard is held within the archives of the National Museum of Wales nearby at Nantgarw and is reproduced with permission. [629] [Museum item number : 85.159I/8] [20180323].

lower image : 'Penarth Dock' - An almost identical postcard image but colourised, with the 1893 Armstrong No. 2 tip nearest, held within the Penarth Dock Collection but in this case George Wehrley is not assigned as the publisher nor is he credited with the fine photography. [001]
