The Nash Lighouse
The Nash Lighouse
'The Nash Lighthouse, Marcross' since September 1832 has been keeping watch over the sandbanks and cliffs. It was manned until August 1998 and had the honour of being the last lighthouse in Wales to be manned, the remainder being converted by Trinity House to automatic operation by this time. The car park on the cliffs nearby the lighthouses is a favourite location for Julie and I and we try to spend some time there each time we return to Wales! The lower image has been colourised.
