The TVR number 91 (later 291) 0-6-0T loco made by Kitson in 1899 according to the booklet 'Locomotives of the Taff Vale Railway' by M. C. V. Allchin published in January 1944. [139] I wonder if this engine was ever actually based at Penarth Dock engine shed or was just a visitor?

The anomaly is that the previously shown photograph of engines beside Penarth Dock engine shed also show TVR number 291 but this is a saddle tank engine different to that above - help! [139] Maybe there was a policy to renumber engines following a refit, upgrade or new boiler - does anybody know please?
