1920 - The trow 'Magnet' at work in the Penarth Dock. [image credit : Associated British Ports] Between 1918 and 1926 the vessel was acquired by the Taff Vale Railway Company, or post 1922, the GWR, for use at Penarth Dock. The 'Magnet' was built during 1864 at Purton and was of 56 gross and 38 net tons register. In 1912 she became under the ownership of Daniel Glover of Cardiff.
