The Pendant over either of these flags will denote 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12.

Signals for Service.
When the Society's Flag is shown at the Mast-head of any Vessel, it denotes that there will be a Service on board. The hour will be shown by signal at the Gaff at the same time.
When the Pendant alone is hoisted at the Gaff, it denotes that a Service will commence immediately, and the Pendant will continue flying until it is over.
Seamen may be provided with Bibles, Testaments and Prayer Books at a reduced price, on application to the Chaplain, or in his absence, the Captain on board the Society's Vessel 'Eirene.'
The Captains of the Vessels are requested to observe that if any Seaman is Sick, and desires to see the Chaplain ; he will visit him on a message being sent to the 'Eirene', also that a Medicine Chest will be kept on board the 'Eirene' for the benefit of Seamen that may be Sick.
Captains of Vessels are requested to have these bills fixed up in their Cabins and preserved.
