1864 : Penarth Harbour, Dock, and Railway. - Notice to Contractors. - 'The Penarth Harbour, Dock, and Railway Company are prepared to receive Tenders for the Construction of a Road from the Penarth Harbour to the Town of Cardiff.

'The Penarth Harbour, Dock, and Railway Company are prepared to receive Tenders for the Construction of a Road from the Penarth Harbour to the Town of Cardiff. The work will include Two Swing Bridges of wrought Iron ; about 350 yards of Viaduct, to be composed of Iron girders and timber, stone pitching, earthwork, masonry, and metalling. Specifications and drawings may be seen at the Engineer's Office, at the Penarth Dock Works, on and after the 10th inst., and Tenders, endorsed "Tender for Road," must be sent in on or before the 28th inst. addressed to the undersigned, Penarth Harbour, Dock, and Railway, Cardiff. Engineers, Messrs. Hawkshaw and Dobson. Mr. Dobson will be at the above named office on the 17th and 20th inst. the Directors do not bind themselves to accept the lowest or any Tender. - By Order of the Directors. - Booth Bacon, Secretary. - Cardiff, 10th May, 1864.' - The Builder - [683] [684] - 14th May 1864.
