◊ c.1900 - Penarth Head - a fine view from the Penarth Flats. On the headland is the distinctive outline of the 1865 St. Augustine's Church. The Mercantile Marine Offices and Customs House are clear as is the trumpet-bell shaped entrance piers/jetties to the Penarth Dock. A sailing vessel plies the mouth of the River Ely and distant are two coal tips at the Basin. The roadway winds its way up the hillside beyond to the Bowery. Another fine postcard view and a Moment Captured in Time from the Penarth Dock Collection. [001] [20180815]
