Penarth Dock, South Wales - 150 years - the heritage and legacy
Penarth Dock, South Wales - the heritage & legacy . . .

Volume Nine - Pre-Victorian to the present day - even more aspects - More Moments Captured in Time . . .

c.1900 - Penarth Head - a fine view from the Penarth Flats.
c.1900 - Penarth Head - a fine view from the Penarth Flats.

◊ c.1933 - The River Avon plus a paddle steamer. I believe the steamer to be the 'Westward Ho' built in 1894 and which served P & A Campbell for over half a century and her country during WWII as H.M.S. 'Westward Queen'. A postcard published by A.G.S. & Co. posted in June 1933 and addressed to Mrs Payne at Clacton-on-Sea just to say that I am enjoying myself. Another piece of social history and a fine postcard view of a Moment Captured in Time from the Penarth Dock Collection. [001] [20180815]
