Mr. Benjamin Morgan, Cardiff Channel Pilot No. 29, lived at 36 Stuart Street, Bute Town, according to local business directories of 1865 and 1871. [621] [622] [623] Presumably, 'Draught of water' is not noted since the vessel was unladen, without ballast, ready to be loaded with coal in the Penarth Dock. I wonder why Benjamin signed his name 'Morgans'? Maybe it was because there was another Benjamin Morgan, also a Cardiff based channel pilot who lived at 7 Penarth Terrace. Then there were two pilots both named William Morgan who lived respectively at 44 and 48 George Street!
