2017 - Pilotage Offices situated in Stuart Street, Bute Docks, Cardiff.

Above is a Google Earth view from December 2017 of the former Pilotage Offices situated in Stuart Street, Bute Docks, Cardiff. The building is apparently one of the oldest in the area and was thought to have originally been built as a stable for the Glamorganshire Canal Company. [110]

Webster's Directory of Bristol & Glamorganshire published in 1865, however, gives the address as Pier Head, Bute Docks, Cardiff, however, Stuart Street does end at the Pier Head. [621] [623]

The image below is borrowed from John Hutton's fine 'History of Cardiff Docks' - Volume 2 - and is credited to the author. The photograph of the dilapidated Cardiff Pilotage Offices dates from June 1984. [475]
