◊ Cliff Walk, Penarth - 'A crowed cliff walk, mainly populated by young women' being a digital record from the archive of the National Library of Wales at Aberystwyth of the work of Martin J. Ridley, photographer during the years 1900 to 1910. The archive record is a black and white, glass-plate negative. [Preferred citation : Ridley 1545] [439]
◊ Entrance to Cliff Walk, Penarth - A tinted postcard version of the Martin J. Ridley photograph above which was probably produced by a German processing method. It carries Mr Ridley's initials and reference 'M.J.R.B.8372'. The route is a lovely walk on a fine day toward Lavernock and Sully but given a strong sea breeze and a little rain, well, the inside of a public house is more welcoming, warmer and 'wetter'! A fine heritage postcard record held by Casgliad y Werin Cymru, People's Collection Wales. [048][item : 835731]
