The s.s. 'Dolores' was a British cargo steamer of 2,188 gross register tons that was wrecked prior to the 23th May 1892 at Castillos, Uruguay when en-route from Penarth for La Plata with a cargo of coal. [214]

'Dolores' was a single screw, general cargo vessel built at the Cleveland Dockyard of Sir Raylton Dixon & Company at Middlesbrough. Her vital statistics were 277.0 ft. long x 39.0 ft. breath x 18.2 ft. depth. She was launched during April 1890 and handed over to her first owners, the Buenos Ayres Great Southern Railway Co. Ltd. (A. Holland & Co), and registered to the Port of London. [801]
