The s.s. 'Guadalope' departed Penarth on the 4th June 1892 on a voyage to Mazatlán. She was wrecked at Mazatlán on the Pacific coast of Mexico. At the time she was owned by A. Echevarria of Mexico. [214]

She was iron screw steamer, passenger and cargo vessel, built by J. Caird & Company at Greenock on the Clyde and orinally named 'Ananda' until 1891. She was launched during November 1871 ; her vital statics being 150.0 ft. long x 22.3 ft. breath x 14.9 ft. depth. [425]
