1965 - Cogan Station ; south-west of Cogan Junction.

1965 - Cogan Station ; south-west of Cogan Junction. Beyond the station on the hillside is the Cowslip and below that, Cawnpore Street, where Julie grew up. The next station, at this date, was Dinas Powis, where I allegedly grew up! (1952, thru' 1970).

View looking towards Cogan station with the Cogan Sidings lines on the right still in use at the time. Note the movable switch diamonds (elbows) in the up Barry main line. The down freight loop via the elbows was taken out of use on 9th July 1965.

This photograph was taken during July 1965. [922] [923] [924] [image reference : bpm01118]
