Esplanade North End, Penarth - A Lilywhite Limited postcard printed and published from up north in the Halifax area, in the former West Riding of Yorkshire, which has been our home for over half a century now! The enlargement shows those menacing ferro-concrete, search-light structures, that belong in the 'War of the Worlds'! The postcard is post-dated during May 1928 with a Penarth, Cardiff stamp, and states ; 'Dear Harold, We are having a good blowing and I should think we have walked about 40 miles today, the sand here is all colours!' - I feel there is probably a little exaggeration in the statement! Another postcard held within the Penarth Dock Collection. [001]
