Entrance to Cardiff Docks.

Entrance to Cardiff Docks - A lovely 'moonlight' view postcard published by D. F. & Co., York, otherwise, Delittle, Fenwick & Company Limited of York, whom were active during the period late 1880's until the outbreak of WWI. They specialised in the 'moonlight' postcards which were photographs taken during daylight hours and tinted to create striking impressions such as that above! The dock offices were opened in 1897, hence, this postcard can be dated after this date and prior to 1914. Upon closer examination of the date stamp it was in fact posted during May 1904! Another heritage postcard held within the Penarth Dock Collection. [001]
