The Dingle Bridge, Alexandra Park, Penarth.

The Dingle Bridge, Alexandra Park, Penarth - The pleasant walk down through the shade of Alexandra Park with the sea beyond and the roof of the Esplanade Hotel just visible. The park opened its gates to the public in 1902 and I suspect that this view was taken around the same time. The photograph is a colourised version of a glass-plate negative, the original of which was kindly provided by an anon. admirer of this Penarth Dock website. Many thanks! [000] [002]

Path to the Beach. Penarth.

Path to the Beach. Penarth - A lovely postcard, post-marked Dinas Powis during May 1903 to Hollyhouse Cottage in Michaelstone-le-Pit with a message to meet up on Friday on the 10:18 from Cardiff! Another piece of our heritage held within the Penarth Dock Collection. [001]
