Alexandra Gardens, Penarth - A lovely artwork postcard by Stanley T. Chaplin.

Alexandra Gardens, Penarth - A lovely artwork dated 1936 being a postcard by Stanley T. Chaplin. He was a somewhat obscure illustrator who was active during the 1920's and 1930's and being of Cornwall descent his works were quite well known with local themes. The postcard is held within the Penarth Dock Collection. [001]

A Cornish Litany - From Ghoulies & Ghosties & Long Leggetty Beasties - And Things That Go Bump In The Night -  Good Lord Deliver Us. - Another fine example of the artwork of Stan. T. Chaplin - obviously a highly talented gentleman. I seem to recall nights like this after an evening with clients drinking Dinkelacker (Brain Attacker!) Beer in Germany whilst working as a sales engineer selling machines, production lines and sometimes complete manufacturing solutions. [000] [002]
