Dinas Powis - A 1913 view of a Cardiff to Barry passenger train standing at the station. The photograph is credited to Mr. N. T. Hobbs of 85 Westbourne Road, Penarth, but is now held within the Penarth Dock Collection. [001]

The lower image has been generated using AI (artificial intelligence) and the software suggests: 'The Barry Railway's steam locomotives were generally painted a very dark reddish-brown / chocolate-lake colour, which later became a richer dark lake / crimson-lake shade. The exact colour is debated because the surviving photographic evidence is almost entirely black-and-white.' [AIX]
