Volume Twelve - Pre-Victorian to the Present Day - further aspects - Report upon Penarth Dock - 1984 . . .

During March 2024, I was given the privilege of viewing the following report on the subject of Penarth Dock which was prepared for the Vale of Glamorgan Borough Council by Mr. Anthony Davies of Newcastle-upon-Tyne. It was released early in 1984. The report is in the care of Mr. Stuart Jones, the Penarth Marina Manager. [1292]

Foreword

This document represents a detailed look at some of the construction details of Penarth Dock. The document does not concern itself with dock equipment, trade at the dock and does not in any way represent a history of the dock.

'The disadvantage of men not knowing the past is that they do not know the present. History is a hill or high point of vantage, from which alone men see the town in which they live or the age in which they are living'. - G. K. Chesterton
