Volume Twelve - Pre-Victorian to the Present Day - further aspects - The Bristol Channel District Guide - selected articles - [1934 Edition] . . . .
About three and a half miles this side of Foreland, situated on the boundary of Somerset and Devon, is the romantic valley of Glenthorne, in passing we notice Glenthorne House, built high above the shore, and surrounded by woods and acclivities to the height of 1,100 feet. Leaving Somerset behind us, we now, from a scenic point of view, enter upon the most interesting portion of our trip. |
