Supplied and installed dockside cranes for the north quay of the main Penarth Dock for use during WWII - see images. The company was based in Carlisle and there is a public house called the "Cranemakers" which holds a history of the company and images of the works and its workers. The following advertisement appeared in a technical manual The Design, Construction and Maintenance of Docks, Wharves & Piers written by F. M. Du-Platt-Taylor published in 1949. [238]
