Penarth Dock, South Wales - the heritage & legacy . . .

about . . .

Volume Eight - Pre-Victorian to the present day - more aspects - Moments captured in time

A Taff Vale Engine in Yorkshire - The restored 0-6-2T Number 85 steam engine built in 1899 which is today very much in running order only a few miles from my home in Yorkshire.

P.S. Cardiff Queen - After the vintage 'Glen Usk' I enjoyed most my trips on the 'Cardiff Queen' to Weston, Ilfracombe and Minehead back in my first childhood. A healthy swell and a good sized smut of soot in the eye - ah lovely times!

The Esplanade Hotel - again! - Another look at a fine hotel.

The Beach and Penarth Head - Another vintage view of the beach and headland.
