Penarth Dock, South Wales - 150 years - the heritage and legacy
Penarth Dock, South Wales - the heritage & legacy . . .

about . . .

Volume Eight - Pre-Victorian to the present day - more aspects - George Wehrley - Photographer . . .

'No.1. The Promenade Pier, Penarth.' -  A postcard view of the pier with a P. & A. Campbell paddle steamer departing.

'No.4. Public Library, Penarth.' - Mr. Wehrley's photographic subjects included examples of the fine public buildings of Penarth. There are two versions of the same view, one being a colour photograph, or so I thought, however, on closer inspection, I found it to be a carefully articulated, hand-tinted rendition!

The Dingle, Penarth - George Wehrley at the height of his photographic art in this lovely winter scene.

'Bristol Channel Disaster' - Two G. Wehrley & Co. images published within the Weekly Mail during December 1909 to illustrate the loss of a ship.
